  • "Give Thanks"

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. It is an honor and pleasure to speak into the lives of the people of God. My prayer is that I am a blessing and an encouragement to the Kingdom. I believe as men and women of God we must be prayerful of what we speak to the people of God and that we are also careful of what we allow to enter into our spirit. Let us be mindful to watch as well as pray. And it is also important to always remember as our parents taught us as children to always say, thank you.

As I look back over the years of my life I can truthfully say that," All of these years the Lord has truly been good to me." And because of that I would like to take time out to simply say, "God, I thank you." I would also like to take this time to encourage the people of God to give Him the glory, praise, and honor for the blessings that He has bestowed upon us. We must take the time to say thank you for bringing us through the wretched storms of life and for teaching and showing us how to overcome the different challenges of life that we have faced. Let's continually give thanks in all things. We can not ever think that we have given enough thanks. As the songwriter wrote, "The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude, all that I am and could ever hope to be I owe it all to thee"

Let's not be like the nine leprous men who didn't return to give thanks. Let us be like that one who after God changed his situation by healing his condition turned around to say thank you. God is looking for us to give Him thanks. You may think that it doesn't matter to God that we return and say thank you but it does. In St. Luke 17:17 after the one came back and gave thanks Jesus asks, "Where are the other nine?" Jesus asked him, "Weren't there ten that were cleansed?" I leave you with this question, "Will you follow the majority who was more caught up in the blessing that they received and never returned or will you be like the one who received his blessing and yet still gave thanks?"
